Laos seeks border market construction aid from Vietnam

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Laos has sought funding from the Vietnamese industry and trade ministry to build three strategic markets at borders with Vietnam in the north, centre and south of Laos.

The proposed plan will help bolster cross-border trade. It will also be a step towards the goal set by the two countries to boost the value of bilateral trade by 10 to 15 percent this year.
